Two things have always been true about me; I loved to read and I loved to draw. I was the kid who drew on everything. On walls, on floors, inside text books and bibles and drawers. I would only take a break from drawing during the times my dad would take me to the library for a bunch of new books (which I miraculously did not draw in). Ever since I can remember, each time I got into trouble or each time I was given a treat for good behaviour it had something to do with either books or art. Every cent of pocket money was spent on books and art supplies and in High School I even took a job as a part time waitress to sustain my ever growing obsession.
As I got older my tastes in books evolved from mice who stole cookies to gruff alphas who stole panties and my love for drawing was channelled into a design degree and I haven’t looked back since. I have over ten years’ experience working as an illustrator, graphic and web designer. I have never stopped reading however, and this love for books has been given an outlet since late 2015 through my blog: PopKitty Book Reviews. Since the inception of my blog I have increasingly taken on book specific jobs like teasers and book cover design and now do it full time. Combining both my passion for books and design has been an absolute joy and an incredible blessing!
